Red Cross Recognizes Monitronics' Haiti Donations

    by Moni Blogger | Apr 29, 2010

DALLAS, April 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- After the January earthquake in Haiti, Monitronics employees were deeply concerned by the news of devastation from that country. In response, they organized multiple fundraisers in order to make a donation to the American Red Cross' relief efforts.

And fund-raise they did. The company matched dollar-for-dollar the donations and money earned from raffles, snack sales, and lunches. The result? In February, Monitronics donated a total of $18,484 to the Dallas chapter of the American Red Cross.

On Wednesday, a Red Cross representative presented the company with a certificate of appreciation. Pictured here, CEO and President Mike Haislip accepted the certificate from Assistant Director of Institutional Giving Emily H. Allbright.

"It was my pleasure to personally meet and thank Mr. Haislip and the amazing employees at Monitronics for their generosity for the relief efforts in Haiti," said Allbright. "It was a devastating disaster and because of support from companies such as Monitronics, the Red Cross is able to provide relief supplies and hope."

Haislip said that the company wanted to be a part of the solution.

"The Red Cross has helped more than two million people in Haiti since the earthquake three months ago and we wanted to be a part of those relief efforts," said Haislip. "Our employees showed their generous spirit and worked hard to raise the funds we donated."

Since its founding in 1881 by visionary leader Clara Barton, the American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. As part of a worldwide movement that offers neutral humanitarian care to the victims of war, the American Red Cross distinguishes itself by also aiding victims of devastating natural disasters. Over the years, the organization has expanded its services, always with the aim of preventing and relieving suffering.

CSAA announced its selection of Ms. Ivy at SDM Magazine’s third annual gala in Nashville, TN, in a June celebration designed to honor the security industry’s leading executives and employees.  Ms. Ivy, a senior dispatch operator with more than seven years of experience with Monitronics, was tapped by CSAA for her expertise, dedication to security customers, attitude and perfect attendance and on-time performance records.

She’s always upbeat and eager to learn new things – so it’s fantastic that the industry has decided to recognize her for being such a leader and team player.”

Monitronics officials also point to Ms. Ivy’s efficiency within Central Station as one of the key factors in her win. “Not long ago, one of our customers pressed his panic button – and Mary Ann responded within two seconds,” reports Ms. Jensby. “A man at the scene indicated that his father-in-law was dizzy and needed medical help. Mary Ann immediately dispatched the paramedics, who arrived within minutes and transported the gentleman to the hospital, where he was successfully treated. National Residential Alarm Monitoring Organization Leverages Impact 360 Solution to Enhance the Customer Experience

DALLAS, TEXAS and MELVILLE, NY, May 20, 2008 – Monitronics, one of the nation’s largest providers of residential alarm monitoring, announced today its deployment of the Impact 360® Workforce Management solution from Verint Systems Inc. and its Verint® Witness Actionable Solutions™ business line.  Focused on providing optimal customer service and support to its more than half a million customers, Monitronics conducted an extensive evaluation, selecting Impact 360 based on the company’s solid reputation and product quality.  It was determined that the software’s ability to help improve the efficiency and productivity of call center employees and processes would enable Monitronics to meet its business needs in the most flexible way.

“The key components to successfully implementing a workforce management strategy are the ability to measure, monitor and manage the performance of all agents equally,” says Mike Haislip, President and CEO at Monitronics.  “Shift scheduling and workforce management tools allow our call center managers and supervisors to achieve these objectives.”

“With Impact 360 Workforce Management, our call center team can better forecast, and develop more accurate planning and improved scheduling.  The additional data helps us staff the right number of agents, with the right skills at all times.”  Haislip adds, “We see great value in the data collection and reporting capabilities offered by Impact 360, and look forward to further synchronizing our performance optimization initiatives to achieve our revenue and service objectives.”

Monitronics handles inbound and outbound customer service, sales and technical support in its 450 seat Dallas-based call center.  The Impact 360 software allows Monitronics to staff each department properly and leverage performance management scorecards, both of which improve its service delivery and ability to meet or exceed customer expectations.  The company also is focused on operational efficiencies, process enhancements and staff performance through the agent adherence capabilities within the solution.  Further, Monitronics call center supervisors are leveraging Impact 360 Workforce Management to assist in scheduling agents during peak call times, leading to better call handling, lower call abandonment, higher service levels, increased revenue and improved customer satisfaction.

“Before having access to the full capabilities provided by Impact 360, we experienced higher handle times than we’d like.  In part, this was due to not having an adherence view of our agents and a real-time tool to assist in the balance of calls and agents,” says John Mejia, Vice President Monitronics, Customer Care.  “With our new workforce management solution, we’ve changed the way we forecast and allocate our time to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
